The text on the Back Cover:
Heraldica's Armorial General is the culmination of years of effort by José Cuchi,
President of Heraldica Imports, to produce an easy to use and comprehensive reference
book for those with some interest in heraldry, specifically those engaged in selling
heraldic products, whether as jewelry, plaques, etc.
The drawings in this book represent a large percentage of the coats of arms found
for family names most commonly used in the United States.
The origin of this book goes back some twenty years [note: this is now over forty
years]. Heraldica Imports is in the business of engraving coats of arms into
fine jewelry. To this end, back in the 1970's, we published a predecessor to this
book. We called it "Armorial booklet", and many thousands ordered their
family crest rings from us based on the drawings found in that booklet.
However, with just under 4,000 drawings in it, it was of limited scope and we found
ourselves constantly having to make new drawings for people interested in getting
a crest ring.
The present book is the result of our desire to improve on the original booklet.
The more than eleven thousand drawings found in this book represent thousands of
hours of work and is probably the largest collection of coats of arms drawings published
in this century.
This book may be viewed at the New York Public Library, as well as other libraries
throughout the United States.
This book can be ordered through any bookstore, including Amazon.com, or Barnes
& Noble. It may also be ordered directly from Heraldica Imports. The book retails
for $145.00.
